Overview

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated PCA/CNA to join our team at Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics, Monday-Friday 7:45am-5 pm (end time may vary). 

The Key Responsibilities for this position are as follows; Direct patients to exam rooms and ensure they are comfortable and prepared for their appointments; Obtain vital signs accurately and record them in our electronic health record (EHR) system;  Assist nurses and physicians as directed, providing support and maintaining a smooth workflow;  Perform rapid lab tests including urinalysis, hemoglobin, stool studies, strep/flu swabs, COVID rapid swabs, and COVID PCR tests; Conduct finger sticks and administer hearing/vision screenings to assess patients' health status accurately. Must be willing to work independently and as a team in a high pace clinic setting while offering great patient care.

Robinson and Terry Payton founded the Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic in 1983 to provide comprehensive care for children from infancy to adolescence. Today, NWAP has 20 board certified pediatricians on staff and locations in Fayetteville and Pinnacle Hills.

Responsibilities

  • Take vital signs, direct patients to proper exam/treatment room, and ensure all medications are up to date. Prepare patients for examinations and other procedures
  • Assist physician with procedures as directed
  • Make sure Meaningful Use requirements are addressed and met as appropriately delegated to the check in process
  • Review daily schedules to ensure productive clinic flow; monitor charge tickets to reflect updates in insurance, patient demographics, etc.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
