Overview

The MRI Technologist works under minimal supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist and Chief Technologists performing diagnostic & screening MRI Breast procedures and MRI Breast Biopsy procedures.  Works effectively with patients, radiologists,  and clinic personnel, assisting with PACS and comparison images. Excellent organizational skills and communication are a must.

The MRI Technologist position is a dedicated to our Breast MRI Facilities only. A candidate with previous breast experience in mammography and/or breast ultrasonography preferred but not required. 

 

The MRI Technologist will rotate between MRI Breast facilities in Fayetteville AR and Bentonville, AR.   Willingness to train in Mammography is encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures as required and achieve a high level of image quality
  • Be observant for artifacts and keep them to a minimum
  • Obtain patient history as needed
  • Perform and assist other technologists during procedures, helping to put the patient at ease
  • Act as agent to obtain pertinent information to aid the physician in diagnosis care and treatment

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a certified Radiological Technology Program
  • 2 years related experience and/or training preferred but not required
  • ARRT (R) Required
  • (MR)Certification preferred but not required
  • Must be registry eligible for MRI registry
  • CPR certification
