Position Overview
As an MRI Technologist (PRN), you will work under minimal supervision to assist the Lead MRI Technologist in performing diagnostic MRI procedures. Your responsibilities include:

  • Delivering exceptional patient care during imaging procedures.
  • Collaborating effectively with patients and clinic personnel.
  • Assisting with PACS and routing images to appropriate worklists.

This role is designed to provide coverage for sick days, vacation time, and other staffing needs during our clinic hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI procedures, ensuring accuracy and consistency in imaging.
  • Maintain attention to detail to identify and minimize image artifacts.
  • Obtain and document patient history and relevant information as needed for accurate diagnosis.
  • Assist the Lead MRI Technologist during scans, providing support and ensuring patients feel comfortable and at ease.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical staff and patients to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Ensure all imaging data is properly routed to the appropriate PACS worklist or external systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices for both patients and staff.
  • Maintain and clean equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Qualifications

  • Education & Certification:

    • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
    • Current ARRT (R) certification; ARRT (MR) certification preferred or must set reasonable goal for achieving MRI certification by agreed upon time.
    • Active state licensure as required
  • Experience:

    • Prior experience as an MRI Technologist preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged
