Overview

The MANA Lab at the Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic is a busy multi-specialty clinic is seeking a full time Phlebotomist. Hours of this position will be Monday – Friday 9am-5:30pm. Phlebotomy experience is preferred. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for collecting samples from all age groups. No nights and no weekends along with 6 paid holidays off per year.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accuracy in all work; Complete tasks on time and per any deadlines, label specimens with a high degree of accuracy, ensure proper tubes are used for each blood test ordered
  • Verify the identity of every patient before collecting any samples
  • identification and sample collection using paper orders in the event of an interruption in computer service
  • Be aware of Medicare guidelines, send-out test requirements, and special tests; Explain Medicare ABNs to patients clearly and accurately
  • Perform venipuncture and finger/heel stick procedures with a high degree of professionalism and concern for the patient, including a minimum of 2 sticks per encounter
  • Collect nasal and throat swabs and blood cultures when needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience preferred; but not required
