  • Occupational Health Nurse – Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas (MANA)

 

The Occupational Health Nurse at Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas assists with all phases of direct patient care staff training within all medical facilities of MANA. Assures that all annual training programs/guidelines are up-to-date and completed each year. Performs educational research and helps develop new educational programs. Assesses other educational needs and implement training as needed. Assists the various internal departments as needed with health fairs, events, MANA's social media and newsletters, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts routine medical screenings, TB skin testing (for all new team members and annually as needed), and administers vaccinations.
  • Manages and maintains accurate health records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assists with occupational injury and illness management in collaboration with physicians, safety officers, and compliance staff.
  • Supports and helps coordinate wellness initiatives, health fairs, and internal events.
  • Provides procedural and clinical training to direct patient care staff, including return demonstrations and documentation.
  • Conducts CPR training for employees and physicians.
  • Performs clinical checkoffs and ensures staff are trained on current treatment modalities and procedures.
  • Uses principles of adult education to assess learning needs, deliver training, and develop new educational programs.
  • Assists with the development of policies and procedures and contributes to educational research and clinical projects.
  • Ensures annual training programs are current, relevant, and completed on time.
  • Travels occasionally to different clinic locations to support training and health program delivery.

Qualifications

  • Current LPN or RN License and Current CPR License
