The Billing Coordinator manages all billing and coding proceduers at MANA Foot & Ankle, including but not limited to; tracking claim statuses from start to finish, answering patient billing questions, checking charts for correct diagnosis codes, and communicating any billing/coding changes to staff and providers.

• Communicate with patients regarding billing questions, balances, and payment plans
• Review patient charts after visit to confirm correct diagnosis codes
• Track claim status from start to finish
• Trains necessary staff on billing and coding procedures
• Ensures all staff understand new rules and policies as it relates to procedures that affect reimbursement
• Offers guidance to the clinical staff and providers with coding and reimbursement issues. 
• Corresponds with the patient billing advocates and assists them with patients who've contacted them with questions
• Works closely with Central Billing Office staff to close any claim issues
• Manages the claim scrub and denial queues
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

• High school or GED plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area, e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, etc. 
• 12-18 months related experience and/or training
