The Breast Sonographer is responsible for performing Screening (ABUS) and Diagnostic Ultrasound procedures including complex and specialized procedures such as breast biopsy procedures and breast cyst aspirations at The Breast Center of Northwest Arkansas.
Breast Sonographer is responsible for following established policies, procedures, and protocols to perform under the general supervision of the Lead Ultra sonographer, Chief Technologist, and Radiologist. In addition, the sonographer must be able to use a wide variety of equipment and computer programs to meet the requirements of the position. Expectation to have an understanding of equipment maintenance and repairs, quality assurance, quality control, and accreditation requirements.
Breast Sonographer independently perform breast ultrasound procedures on varying age groups and perform patient assessment within their scope of practice.
