Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy family medicine clinic. This position is often the first point of contact for our patients, so professionalism, compassion, and strong communication skills are essential.

Our front office team plays a critical role in keeping the clinic running smoothly while ensuring patients feel welcomed and supported. The ideal candidate is someone who remains calm under pressure, enjoys helping people, and understands the pace and demands of a busy medical practice.We offer a stable work environement and a supportive team atmosphere. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays or balances
  • Enter and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record
  • Assist with patient questions regarding appointments, paperwork, and billing processes
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous medical office experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of health insurance, copays, deductibles, and eligibility verification strongly preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using computers and electronic medical record systems
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player
