Overview

The Clinic Float performs various procedures associated with routine patient encounters, maintains positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors and fellow employees. The Clinic Float also draws blood and obtains various specimens from patients with minimum discomfort and pain for the performance of clinical laboratory analyses. The Clinic Float also takes vital signs, direct patients to proper exam/treatment room, and ensure all medications are up-to date. Prepare patients for examinations and other procedures. Assist physician with procedures as directed.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage all phases of the patient encounter
  • Answer incoming telephone calls; receive, record and relay messages appropriately
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed
  • Collect copays and balances, maintain log sheets, and balance at the end of the business day

 

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7 – 11 months related experience and/or training
